About

A trusted network for Hampton Roads.

The Bolt Steel Group, LLC is a veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, minority-owned small business based in Hampton Roads, Virginia. We build and maintain a network of qualified local contractors and connect them with government and municipal project opportunities — so contract dollars stay in the community that does the work.

Our mission

Local work, local hands.

We exist to keep Hampton Roads contracting opportunities in Hampton Roads. By developing a deep bench of qualified local trades, we give government and municipal buyers a credible local-first option — and we give our neighbors a real shot at the work.

Our approach

Relationships first.

Pipelines are built on trust, not transactions. We take the time to know the contractors in our registry — their crews, their capacity, the kind of work they do well — so when we make an introduction, it's the right one.

The name

Where "Bolt Steel" comes from.

The founders have known each other like family for decades. The name Bolt Steel comes from two lifelong football loyalties — one rooted in Chargers blue, the other in Steelers black and gold — brought together under a shared mission to build a serious Hampton Roads contractor network. The sports origin is secondary; the work is about trust, local relationships, and delivering for the 757.

Meetings on and off the course

We're happy to meet over coffee, at your shop, or on the back nine. Golf is one of the informal settings we use to get to know contractors and discuss opportunities — never a requirement, just an option for those who enjoy it.
